Shaper - Furniture Designer and Maker



As a Shaper - Furniture Designer and Maker, you will be responsible for creating unique, high-quality furniture pieces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Your creativity and attention to detail will be key in this role, as you will need to conceptualize, design, and handcraft pieces that meet our clients' specific needs.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize your knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials to design and create furniture pieces
- Work closely with clients to understand their vision and preferences for custom pieces
- Use hand tools or machinery to shape, cut, sand, and assemble materials into finished products
- Ensure all finished products meet quality standards and are free of defects
- Stay up-to-date with current design trends and techniques in the furniture industry
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a furniture designer or maker
- Proficient in the use of woodworking tools and machinery
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Creativity and ability to conceptualize unique designs
- Excellent communication skills for working with clients
- Knowledge of different types of wood, finishes, and joinery techniques
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Time management skills for meeting project deadlines

Salary: $1200 per month
Location: Mombasa, Kenya (preference for Kenyan nationals)
