Claims Adjuster
As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, analyzing, and determining the validity of insurance claims. Your main task will be to review policy coverage, gather evidence, and negotiate settlements with claimants. You will also communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and other parties involved in the claim process. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure fair and accurate claims assessments. The ideal candidate will have a background in insurance or a related field, as well as excellent communication and negotiation abilities. This is a contract position based in Nakuru, Kenya with accommodation provided. Fluency in English is preferred but not required. No experience is necessary as training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Review insurance policies to determine coverage for claims
- Collect evidence and conduct investigations to assess claim validity
- Analyze information gathered to determine appropriate settlement amounts
- Negotiate settlements with claimants or their representatives
- Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and other involved parties throughout the claims process
- Maintain accurate documentation of all claim activities
- Adhere to legal requirements and company policies when handling claims
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and regulations related to insurance claims
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance or a related field (preferred)
- Fluent in English (preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently within established guidelines
- Familiarity with insurance policies and procedures (preferred)
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
