Chef de Cuisine
A prestigious restaurant in the heart of Lom is seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our team. As the head of our kitchen, the ideal candidate will have a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes using fresh, local ingredients. The successful candidate will also have excellent leadership skills and be able to manage a team of cooks and other kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Create new menus and recipes that showcase our restaurant's unique style and flavors.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high quality and consistency.
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients while maintaining budgetary constraints.
- Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff in food safety procedures, techniques, and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and incorporate them into menu development.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role in a high-end restaurant.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
- Proven track record of creating exceptional dishes with seasonal ingredients.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff at all levels.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
