Librarian



Our library in Al-Rayyan is seeking a skilled and experienced Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library's collection, providing reference and research assistance to patrons, and promoting literacy and learning within the community.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the acquisition, cataloging, and circulation of library materials
- Develop and maintain an organized system for shelving and storing materials
- Provide reference services to patrons, including helping with research inquiries and recommending resources
- Develop and implement literacy programs for children, teens, and adults
- Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and other libraries to promote library services
- Maintain library website and social media presence
- Train staff on library procedures and technology
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies in the field of librarianship

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Librarian
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of library software systems
- Familiarity with reference sources
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1700 per month
