Head Chef - Indian and Pakistani Cuisine
As a Head Chef specializing in Indian and Pakistani cuisine, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the kitchen operations of our restaurant located in Vilnius. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced chef who can bring their expertise in creating authentic Indian and Pakistani dishes to our menu. This is an English speaking job, but knowledge of Hindi or Urdu is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and updating menu items that showcase the rich flavors and diversity of Indian and Pakistani cuisine
- Managing all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Supervising kitchen staff to ensure high quality and efficient service
- Ordering ingredients and supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and controlling food costs
- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Collaborating with management to develop seasonal menus and special promotions
- Training new kitchen staff on recipes, techniques, and procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef specializing in Indian or Pakistani cuisine
- Proven ability to create authentic dishes using traditional recipes while also incorporating modern techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage kitchen staff
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English with knowledge of Hindi or Urdu preferred
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1100 per month for this full-time position.
