Head Chef - Traditional Malayalee Cuisine
We are a well-established restaurant in Ar-Ruwais, seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our traditional Malayalee cuisine kitchen. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu creation, food preparation, inventory management, and kitchen staff supervision. Your creativity and passion for Malayalee cuisine will be reflected in the quality and presentation of our dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create innovative and authentic Malayalee cuisine menus
- Oversee food preparation and ensure high-quality standards are maintained
- Manage inventory levels and control food costs
- Train and develop kitchen staff to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation
- Monitor hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events or promotions featuring Malayalee cuisine
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef specializing in traditional Malayalee cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of Malayalee ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines during peak hours
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Malayalam is an advantage
