Contract Librarian for Biometric Passport Project in Eldoret, Kenya

We are hiring a skilled and experienced Librarian to support our biometric passport project in Eldoret, Kenya. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our collection of documents and resources related to the project. Your main duties will include cataloging materials, assisting with research, and ensuring that all materials are easily accessible to project team members. This is a contract position with a salary of $1100 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Catalog and classify materials related to the biometric passport project
- Maintain an organized system for accessing and retrieving materials
- Assist with research as needed by project team members
- Ensure accuracy of information in the library catalog
- Monitor and order new materials as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Librarian or in a similar role
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of library cataloging systems and software
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Fluent in English (knowledge of local languages is a plus)
- Must have a valid biometric passport
