Collector - Split, Canada
We are currently hiring a Collector to join our team in Split, Canada. This is a contract position with the potential for extension based on performance.
In this role, you will be responsible for contacting and collecting payments from customers who have outstanding debts. You will work closely with our accounting and customer service departments to ensure timely and accurate collection of payments.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in debt collection and strong communication skills. This position also requires the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via phone, email, and mail to collect outstanding debts
- Negotiate payment plans with delinquent customers
- Update account information and payment records regularly
- Work closely with accounting department to resolve any payment discrepancies
- Provide excellent customer service while collecting payments
- Meet monthly collection goals set by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in accounting or finance is preferred
- Previous experience in debt collection or a similar role is required
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
