Instrument Technician - Los Angeles, USA
As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of instruments and equipment used in a wide range of industries. You will primarily work in a laboratory or manufacturing setting, ensuring that all instruments are functioning properly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments, including cleaning, calibration, and replacement of parts as needed
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with instruments to ensure proper functioning
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure accuracy and precision of instrument measurements
- Train new technicians on instrument operation and maintenance procedures
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed on instruments
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify potential improvements to instrument performance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of different types of instruments and their functions
- Familiarity with electrical systems, circuitry, and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals to aid in repairs
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
