We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Akron. As a DBA, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our databases to ensure they are secure, efficient, and reliable. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting database issues and optimizing performance.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement databases according to business needs
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate security measures
- Develop backup and recovery plans in case of system failures or disasters
- Regularly review database structures and make necessary improvements for efficiency and scalability
- Collaborate with developers to optimize application queries for better performance
- Provide technical support to end-users when needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong understanding of database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL language for querying and manipulating data
- Familiarity with database security best practices
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions such as replication or log shipping
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
