Database Administrator (Contract) - Karachi, Pakistan


We are currently hiring a skilled Database Administrator for a contract position in Karachi, Pakistan. As the Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's database systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software and servers
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access or corruption
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Create and maintain documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of database systems with other applications
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Proficient in SQL and other database management tools
- Strong knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, and integrity principles
- Experience with cloud-based databases is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Salary:
The salary for this contract position is $1300 per month. Accommodation will also be provided.

Additional Requirements:
Candidates must have a valid biometric passport for the duration of the contract.
