Preservation Architect

As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures in the city of Lahore. Your main task will be to ensure that these structures are maintained in their original state and protected from damage or deterioration. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and local authorities to develop preservation plans and oversee restoration projects.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting detailed assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine their condition and identify any necessary repairs or improvements
- Collaborating with clients to understand their preservation goals and developing plans to meet those objectives while adhering to budget constraints
- Working with contractors to execute preservation plans, ensuring that all work meets preservation standards and guidelines
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for restoration projects
- Conducting research on the history of buildings or structures being preserved and incorporating that knowledge into preservation plans
- Monitoring the progress of restoration projects, identifying any issues or challenges, and providing solutions as needed
- Maintaining accurate records of all preservation work, including documents, photographs, and other relevant information

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in architectural preservation; experience with historic buildings preferred
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles, historic building materials, conservation techniques, and local building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and local authorities
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills; able to conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and develop comprehensive preservation plans
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Passion for preserving cultural heritage

Salary: $1700 per month

Location: Lahore (preferred)
