Network and Systems Administrator


We are hiring a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Lisbon. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading our company's network and computer systems. This position requires a strong understanding of both local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), as well as experience with various operating systems, servers, and hardware.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, servers, routers, switches, and other related equipment
- Monitor network performance to ensure smooth operation and identify potential issues
- Troubleshoot network and system problems in a timely manner
- Perform regular backups of data to ensure data preservation
- Implement security measures to protect the company's network from cyber threats
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the company's technology infrastructure

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Linux/Unix operating systems
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Experience with firewall configuration, VPN setup, and network monitoring tools such as Nagios or SolarWinds
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1500 per month.

Location:
This position is based in Lisbon. Accommodation can be provided for non-local candidates if needed.
