Database Administrator

We are hiring a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Lisbon. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain databases according to business needs
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with other teams to gather database requirements and improve overall system performance
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential security risks and implement necessary measures
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and recommend improvements to current database systems

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Proficient in SQL and other database management tools
- Strong understanding of database security, backup, and recovery methods
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Microsoft Certified Database Administrator)
- Experience working with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS or Azure)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python or PowerShell)

We offer a competitive salary of 1300$ per month, along with accommodation for non-local candidates. Preference will be given to candidates with biometric passports.
