Preservation Architect
We are in search of a talented Preservation Architect to join our team in Lisbon. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. Your role will involve conducting historical research, creating preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on the history and significance of historic structures
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local laws and regulations
- Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to oversee restoration projects
- Ensure that all work is carried out in a manner that preserves the historical integrity of the structure
- Prepare detailed reports on the condition of historic buildings and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance
- Stay updated on current preservation techniques and technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Extensive knowledge of historical preservation methods and techniques
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Attention to detail and strong project management skills
