Job Title: Reference Librarian

We are in search of a knowledgeable and experienced Reference Librarian to join our team in Lisbon. As a Reference Librarian, you will be responsible for providing reference and research services to library patrons, including students, faculty, and community members. Your primary duties will include answering reference questions, conducting research, and assisting patrons with finding resources both in print and online.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a librarian
- Strong knowledge of library cataloging systems and online databases
- Excellent research skills and ability to assist patrons with information needs
- Familiarity with reference resources such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, and atlases
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities:
- Respond to reference inquiries from library patrons in person, over the phone, or via email
- Assist patrons with finding information using the library's catalog system and online databases
- Provide instruction on how to use resources effectively for research purposes
- Conduct in-depth research for complex reference questions using various sources including print and online materials
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop new programs or services that meet the needs of library users
- Evaluate and select new reference materials to add to the library's collection
- Keep up-to-date with developments in the field of librarianship through professional development opportunities

Salary: $1000 per month.

Location: Lisbon.
