Executive Chef



Our 5-star restaurant in the beautiful city of Lisbon is seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, from menu planning and food preparation to staff management and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining and a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus, ensuring a balance of creativity and profitability
- Supervise all kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events and promotions
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and control expenses
- Continuously seek out new ingredients, techniques, and trends to inspire menu development

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Creative flair with a passion for modern cuisine and culinary trends
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other departments and provide feedback
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Fluent in English (Portuguese proficiency is a plus)

Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
