Sous Chef
We are hiring a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Lisbon. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing and overseeing the kitchen operations. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of culinary techniques and possess excellent leadership skills to inspire and motivate the kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to high-quality standards.
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff.
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist in developing new menu items and specials.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Handle any customer complaints regarding food quality or service promptly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must have a valid food handler's certificate.
Salary:
We offer a salary of 900$ per month for this position.
Location:
This job is located in Lisbon, Portugal. Portuguese nationality is preferred but not required.
