Private Tutor for English Language Learners in Lisbon, Portugal


We are seeking a qualified and experienced Private Tutor to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to students in Lisbon, Portugal. As a Private Tutor, you will be responsible for creating personalized lesson plans and providing one-on-one instruction to students of all ages and levels. This is a part-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments to determine the student's language proficiency level and learning goals.
- Develop customized lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
- Provide engaging and interactive lessons that incorporate speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Prepare students for language proficiency exams if needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and student performance.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience tutoring ESL students.
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and techniques for teaching English as a Second Language.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching certification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA).
- Experience working with children or adults from different cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in Portuguese or another language spoken by your students.
