Network and Systems Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Funchal. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our company's network and computer systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware
- Monitor network performance to ensure smooth operation
- Troubleshoot network issues and resolve them in a timely manner
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email addresses, and security settings
- Install and maintain software applications on servers and workstations
- Implement backup and disaster recovery plans for critical systems
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Network or Systems Administrator
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS or Azure)
- Familiarity with security protocols and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)
