Junior JAVA Developer



We are a software development company based in Funchal and we are seeking a talented and motivated Junior JAVA Developer to join our team. As a Junior JAVA Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications using Java technologies. This is a contract job with the opportunity for long-term employment, and we offer accommodation and visa sponsorship for non-European applicants. This position is also suitable for students looking to gain hands-on experience in the software development industry.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and implement new software features
- Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable code using Java technologies
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing software applications
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Java technology
- Work closely with project managers to meet project deadlines
- Continuously improve upon existing codebase through code reviews and refactoring

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency in Java programming language
- Experience with web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or Oracle
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication skills

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.
