As a Typesetter for our publishing company in Funchal, you will be responsible for using specialized software to format and arrange text and images for print and digital publications. Your attention to detail and knowledge of typography will play a crucial role in creating visually appealing and readable materials. You will collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to ensure that the final product adheres to project specifications. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Format text, images, and other visual elements according to project specifications
- Ensure consistency in design, layout, and formatting throughout the publication
- Collaborate with editors and designers to make necessary revisions
- Proofread final layouts for accuracy and quality control
- Utilize specialized software such as InDesign, QuarkXPress, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a typesetter or in a similar role
- Proficiency in typography principles and layout design
- Familiarity with typesetting software such as InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field
- Experience working in a publishing environment
