Facade Restoration Technician

Are you skilled in restoration and preservation techniques for building facades? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for historical architecture? Our company is seeking a Facade Restoration Technician to join our team in Funchal, Portugal.

As a Facade Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for restoring and preserving the exteriors of buildings, focusing on architectural elements such as facades, cornices, and columns. You will work with various materials such as stone, brick, stucco, and metal to repair damages and maintain the structural integrity of these buildings.

We are looking for someone with strong technical skills in facade restoration techniques, including cleaning, patching, repointing, and painting. Attention to detail is crucial in this role as you will be working on historic buildings that require meticulous restoration work. Experience in working with biometric passport technology is preferred but not required.

This is a contract job with a salary of $1300 per month. We value diversity and welcome applications from all genders. This position does not require prior experience in facade restoration as we provide on-the-job training for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of building facades to identify damages and areas in need of restoration
- Use appropriate tools and techniques to clean and repair damaged areas
- Apply paint or other coatings to protect and enhance the appearance of facades
- Work with a team to complete projects within designated timelines
- Follow safety protocols while working on scaffolding or at heights
- Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
- Physically fit with the ability to work at heights
- Knowledge of biometric passport technology preferred but not required
- Experience in facade restoration or general construction is an asset but not required

Working Conditions:
- This is a physically demanding job that requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods
- You will work primarily outdoors and may be exposed to varying weather conditions
- The use of protective gear such as hard hats and safety glasses is required while on the job site
