Skilled Plasterer in Funchal, Portugal


We are a reputable construction company based in Funchal, Portugal seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying plaster and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces of buildings and structures. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for plastering by removing old paint or wallpaper, cleaning and smoothing surfaces
- Mix plaster or other materials to the right consistency according to instructions
- Apply plaster or other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using hand tools or machines
- Smooth out imperfections and create an even surface using trowels, brushes or spray guns
- Install drywall and insulation as needed
- Repair any cracks or damages on existing plasterwork
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Plasterer in the construction industry
- Ability to read blueprints and follow building plans
- Good physical stamina as the job may involve standing for long periods of time and working in awkward positions
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical training in plastering
- Familiarity with different types of plaster materials
- Knowledge of safety procedures when working with chemicals and tools
- Any additional skills such as painting or carpentry are considered an asset
