Formwork Specialist


We are hiring a skilled Formwork Specialist to join our construction team in Funchal. As a Formwork Specialist, you will be responsible for crafting and installing temporary structures used to support concrete while it sets. This is a physically demanding role that requires experience and expertise in formwork, as well as the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut materials according to specific dimensions and specifications
- Assemble wooden or metal framework for concrete structures
- Install reinforcing bars or mesh as needed
- Pour and spread concrete into framework
- Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete
- Remove forms after concrete has set, ensuring minimal damage to the structure
- Repair or replace damaged forms as necessary
- Adhere to safety guidelines at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience as a Formworker in the construction industry
- Knowledge of different types of formwork systems and their uses
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment

Salary:
$1600 per month
