A reputable manufacturing company in Funchal, Portugal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Turner for a contract position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Turner and must be able to work without accommodation.

As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of metalworking machinery to create precision parts and components. You must have excellent technical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking machinery
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Measure and mark dimensions on materials using precision measuring instruments
- Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools to perform precision machining operations
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure all safety protocols are followed

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Turner in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of different materials such as metal alloys, plastics, or composites
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience operating various metalworking machinery such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, etc.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise measurements
- Good physical stamina with the ability to stand for long periods of time
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Basic computer skills for recording data or adjusting machine settings
