Fitter Technician



We are a leading manufacturing company in the city of Funchal, seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter Technician to join our team. As a Fitter Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing various mechanical components and systems. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1300$ per month, and we offer visa sponsorship for non-local candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine assembly procedures.
- Assemble mechanical components such as pipes, valves, pumps, and motors according to specifications.
- Install and maintain mechanical systems including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and production equipment.
- Test machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning before installation.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed including inventory levels and maintenance schedules.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fitter or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles and ability to read technical drawings.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, etc.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit to handle heavy machinery and equipment.
- Good communication skills in English (Portuguese fluency is an asset).
- Valid work permit for Portugal or eligibility for visa sponsorship.
