Entry-Level Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Funchal. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, such as data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is a full-time position with visa sponsorship available for non-local candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Enter financial transactions into accounting software
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close procedures
- Create and maintain spreadsheets for financial reports
- Help prepare tax returns and other government compliance documents
- Communicate with clients and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Previous accounting experience is preferred but not required

Salary: $1100 per month
