Restaurant Manager
We are a well-established restaurant in Funchal, seeking an experienced and driven Restaurant Manager to join our team. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including food and beverage service, staff management, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and scheduling
- Train and supervise all front-of-house staff to ensure high-quality service standards are met
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner
- Maintain a safe and sanitary working environment by enforcing health codes and procedures
- Collaborate with the kitchen team on menu planning and pricing strategies
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)
- Proven track record of increasing sales and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Salary: $1500 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Funchal (visa sponsorship available for non-EU candidates)
