Part-Time Librarian

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Part-Time Librarian to join our team at a busy library in Funchal. As a Part-Time Librarian, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing library operations, and assisting patrons with their research needs.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with locating materials and using library resources
- Provide reference and research assistance
- Manage circulation desk duties, including checking materials in and out
- Shelve books and maintain the organization of the collection
- Assist with creating displays and promoting library events
- Keep accurate records of library transactions
- Help maintain the cleanliness and order of the library space

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of library systems and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have own visa to work in Funchal (or be eligible to obtain one)
- Ideal for students looking for part-time work

Salary: Starting at $1200 per month (based on experience)
