Head Chef
Our restaurant, located in the beautiful city of Funchal, is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive a high-quality dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Create and maintain menus that are both innovative and appealing to our guests
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure efficient and productive work
- Ensure all food safety standards are met and maintained in the kitchen at all times
- Manage inventory levels and order necessary supplies in a timely manner
- Collaborate with management to create new dishes or improve existing ones
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with management, staff, and suppliers
- Creativity in menu planning and dish presentation
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Salary: 1800$
Location: Funchal (Preference for Portuguese or European nationality)
