Chef de Cuisine
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for creating and executing menus, overseeing food preparation, and managing kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop high-quality menus that cater to a variety of tastes and dietary restrictions
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Monitor food quality and ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or themed dinners
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus that meet customer demands
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in Portuguese (English proficiency is a plus)
