Part-Time Back-End Developer

The Part-Time Back-End Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the back-end components of our company's web applications. This includes creating and optimizing database structures, writing efficient and secure code, and integrating front-end elements with server-side logic. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of server-side programming languages, database management systems, and web development frameworks. This is a part-time position based in Braga, Portugal.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain the back-end components of our company's web applications
- Create database structures that are efficient and optimized for performance
- Write clean, secure, and efficient code in server-side programming languages such as PHP or Java
- Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic to deliver a seamless user experience
- Troubleshoot and debug any issues that arise with the back-end functionality of our web applications
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure successful integration of front-end and back-end components
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in back-end development

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 1+ years of experience as a Back-End Developer or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of server-side programming languages such as PHP or Java
- Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL or MongoDB
- Experience working with web development frameworks like Laravel or Spring Boot
- Knowledge of front-end languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
