Data Mining Analyst

As a Data Mining Analyst in our company, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to identify patterns and trends. Your main goal will be to use your skills and knowledge in data mining techniques to help our team make informed business decisions. This position is based in Braga, Portugal and offers a salary of $1400 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize various data mining tools and techniques to extract valuable insights from large datasets
- Develop and implement data mining models and algorithms to identify patterns and trends
- Collaborate with other team members to understand business needs and provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis
- Clean, validate, and manipulate data as needed for analysis
- Communicate findings through reports, visualizations, or presentations to stakeholders
- Continuously monitor data processes and suggest improvements for efficiency

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail
- Proficiency in SQL or other query languages for database management
- Familiarity with data mining tools such as Python, R or SAS
- Good understanding of statistical concepts such as regression analysis, clustering or classification techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner

Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Have prior experience in data mining or related fields
- Possess knowledge of machine learning techniques
- Are familiar with big data platforms such as Hadoop or Spark
