Typesetter (Contract, Braga)


We are searching for a detail-oriented and experienced Typesetter to join our publishing team on a contract basis in Braga. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text, images, and other elements to create visually appealing and error-free documents.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize typesetting software and tools to format text, images, charts, and other design elements according to project specifications
- Collaborate with editors and designers to ensure that all content is accurately represented in the final layout
- Proofread documents for any errors or inconsistencies and make necessary corrections
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in typesetting techniques

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role in the publishing industry
- Proficient in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors in text and layout
- Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and printing processes
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
The salary for this contract position is $1600 per month.

Location:
This job is based in Braga. Applicants must have their own visa/work permit.
