Librarian - Braga, Portugal

We are in search of a skilled and passionate Librarian to join our team in Braga. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials. You will also assist library patrons with finding resources, provide research assistance, and promote library programs and services.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain the organization of the library's collection through cataloging, shelving, and weeding out old materials.
- Assist patrons with locating and checking out books, journals, and other materials.
- Provide reference services by helping patrons find information using digital or print resources.
- Develop and implement programs to promote the library's services and resources.
- Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum-based research projects for students.
- Manage the budget for purchasing new materials for the library.
- Keep up-to-date with current trends in information technology and incorporate new technologies into the library's operations.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of cataloging systems and information retrieval methods.
- Familiarity with various digital databases and online resources.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of 1000$ per month for this full-time position.

Location:
This position is located in Braga, Portugal. Preference will be given to candidates who already have their own visa to work in Portugal.
