Chef de Cuisine


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our team at a prestigious restaurant in Braga, Portugal. As the head chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu planning to food preparation and presentation. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Create innovative and high-quality dishes that reflect our restaurant's concept and standards
- Plan menus and develop new recipes based on seasonal ingredients
- Manage kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations during service
- Train and mentor junior chefs in proper cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
- Maintain food quality and consistency by monitoring portion sizes, presentation, and taste
- Control inventory levels and minimize waste by implementing efficient ordering systems
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop strategies for improving overall profitability

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with new dishes and flavors
- Fluent in Portuguese (proficiency in English is a plus)
