Chef de Cuisine
As a Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. You will work closely with the restaurant manager to ensure that high-quality dishes are consistently served to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that showcase creativity and use high-quality ingredients
- Manage food inventory and control costs
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all dishes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety regulations
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to create a positive work environment for the kitchen team
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef or sous chef in a high-volume restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to create innovative dishes while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of health codes and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent training from a reputable institution
- Experience working in a Michelin-starred restaurant or similar establishment
Salary: We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month.
Location: This position is based in Braga, Portugal. Portuguese nationality is preferred but not required.
