Instrument Technician
As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of various types of instrumentation used in industrial processes. This includes but is not limited to flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature sensors, and control valves. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot any issues and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on instrumentation equipment according to manufacturer's specifications
- Troubleshoot and repair any equipment malfunctions in a timely manner
- Calibrate instruments as needed to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure proper coordination of tasks
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with hazardous materials or in potentially dangerous environments
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Instrumentation Technology or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and process instrumentation
- Experience with troubleshooting and repair of various types of instrumentation equipment
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
