Pastry Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in Braga, Portugal. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of delicious pastries and desserts for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about pastry making and has a strong understanding of flavor combinations, presentation, and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare high-quality pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts according to our recipes
- Develop new pastry recipes that reflect seasonal ingredients and current food trends
- Ensure all pastries are consistently presented in an appealing manner
- Manage inventory of all pastry ingredients and supplies
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs or assistants when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen at all times
- Follow all health and safety standards when preparing food
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or bakery setting
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent training preferred
- Strong knowledge of different types of pastry techniques, such as baking, decorating, chocolate work, etc.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes while also following established ones
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for presentation and quality
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 900$ per month for this position.
