Pastry Chef
We are in search of a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in Braga. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing various pastries, desserts, and other sweet treats. Your main duties will include managing the pastry section of our kitchen, developing new recipes, ordering ingredients, and ensuring high-quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry making, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare various pastries, desserts, and sweet treats
- Manage the pastry section of the kitchen
- Develop new recipes while also incorporating customer preferences
- Order ingredients and maintain inventory levels
- Ensure high-quality standards are consistently met
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of various pastry techniques and methods
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise junior chefs
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Education/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Culinary school degree preferred
- Food safety certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef
Salary: 1600$
Location: Braga (Portugal)
Note: This position is open to all qualified candidates regardless of nationality. However, preference may be given to those who already hold the right to work in Portugal.
