Pastry Chef
We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Braga, Portugal. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries and desserts for our restaurant. Your main duties will include preparing doughs, fillings, toppings, and decorations, as well as overseeing the baking process and ensuring high-quality standards are met.
To excel in this role, you should have a passion for pastry making and be knowledgeable about different baking techniques and ingredients. You should also have excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of orders. In addition to your technical skills, we are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality pastries and desserts in accordance with our recipes
- Create new and innovative pastry items to add to our menu
- Ensure all products meet our quality standards
- Oversee the baking process to ensure proper temperature and cooking times
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as piping, glazing, or icing
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies
- Train junior pastry chefs on proper techniques and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of different baking techniques and ingredients
- Ability to create visually appealing pastries using various decorating techniques
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
Salary: 1100$
Location: Braga, Portugal (Portuguese nationality preferred)
