Entry-Level Baker
We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Baker to join our bakery team in Braga, Portugal. As an Entry-Level Baker, you will work under the guidance of experienced bakers and be responsible for assisting with the production of various baked goods. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about baking and looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes
- Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings for various baked goods
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers
- Monitor baking process and adjust temperature or timing as needed
- Decorate and package finished products
- Clean and maintain work area, equipment, and utensils
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain high levels of cleanliness
Requirements:
- No prior experience required - we will provide training!
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients preferred
- Ability to follow recipes accurately
- Good time management skills to ensure products are ready on schedule
- Physically capable of standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have own visa or be eligible to work in Portugal
- Accommodation will be provided if needed
Salary:
Starting salary for this position is 1700$ per month. Salary may increase based on performance.
This is a contract job with the possibility of full-time employment after a successful probationary period.
