IT Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled IT Manager to join our growing team in Porto. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's information technology infrastructure and ensuring its smooth operation. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's information technology systems, including hardware, software, networks, and security.
- Manage a team of IT professionals and provide guidance and direction to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving the company's overall IT infrastructure, including hardware upgrades, software updates, and security protocols.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ensure data backups are performed regularly and disaster recovery plans are in place.
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the industry to recommend improvements or advancements to current systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify their technology needs and provide solutions that align with business objectives.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an IT management role.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale information technology projects from conception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of network administration, security protocols, cloud computing, virtualization technologies, and databases.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving goals.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they arise.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

We offer a competitive salary of 1400$ per month for this position. Applicants must have their own visa or work permit for employment in Portugal.
