Job Title: Network and Systems Administrator



We are seeking a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Porto. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our network and systems, ensuring their optimal performance and security.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
- Implement security protocols and measures to protect the network from cyber threats
- Perform regular backups of data to ensure data integrity
- Monitor system resources and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and other network devices
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and implement solutions accordingly
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve our network infrastructure

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Network or Systems Administrator
- Extensive knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Experience with configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Strong understanding of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
- Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam or Acronis is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
