Job Title: Back-End Developer


We are seeking a highly skilled Back-End Developer to join our dynamic team in Porto, Portugal. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the server-side of our web applications and ensuring seamless integration with front-end components. Your role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming languages such as Java or Python, experience with databases and server management, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain server-side code for web applications
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure smooth integration between back-end and front-end components
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, bugs, and other bottlenecks
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and implement effective solutions
- Ensure code quality through testing, debugging, and code reviews
- Stay updated on emerging trends in back-end development to continuously improve our processes

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python or Ruby on Rails
- Experience working with databases (MySQL, MongoDB) and server management (Nginx)
- Strong understanding of web development principles including RESTful APIs, HTTP protocols, etc.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript is preferred
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality code
