Information Security Analyst

As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our company's information assets. You will work closely with our IT teams to identify and analyze potential security risks and implement appropriate measures to mitigate them. Your role will involve conducting regular system audits, monitoring network traffic, and responding to security incidents. You must have a strong understanding of information security principles and technologies, as well as experience in risk assessment and compliance. This is a contract position with the potential for visa sponsorship. Accommodation is not provided.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on our systems
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and conduct incident response as needed
- Develop and maintain information security policies and procedures
- Work with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in information security
- Participate in the creation of disaster recovery plans and business continuity processes
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate new security products or services
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security analysis or related role
- Strong understanding of security principles, standards, protocols, and technologies (e.g. firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems)
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus or QualysGuard
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR)
- Familiarity with incident response procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in simple terms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as CISSP or CISM
- Experience working with cloud-based environments (e.g. AWS)
- Knowledge of encryption techniques and technologies
- Familiarity with network and web application security testing
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month.
Location:
This position is located in Porto, Portugal. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
