Information Security Analyst
Information Security Analyst - Porto, Portugal
The Information Security Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect the organization's sensitive data and systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge of information security principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential security threats
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and investigate any potential breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into new systems and processes
- Stay up-to-date on emerging threats and industry best practices to continually improve the organization's security posture
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- 2+ years of experience in information security or related field
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies
- Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Nessus or Qualys
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR, PCI-DSS)
- Certifications such as CISSP or CISM are a plus
