Database Administrator



We are hiring a skilled Database Administrator to join our growing team in Porto. In this role, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. You will work closely with developers and data analysts to ensure that our database systems are properly designed, implemented, and maintained.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor and maintain database security
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide solutions
- Optimize database performance by tuning queries and indexes
- Develop data models and implement database designs
- Collaborate with developers to ensure efficient use of databases in applications
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies in database management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Knowledge of database design principles, backup/recovery methods, and SQL programming
- Familiarity with data integrity principles and tools such as triggers, constraints, etc.
- Experience with performance tuning techniques for both SQL queries and physical databases
- Ability to troubleshoot common database issues proactively
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Employment Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Visa Sponsorship: This position is open to candidates who already have a valid work visa for Portugal. Visa sponsorship may be provided for exceptional candidates.
