Contract Glazier in Porto, Portugal

As a Contract Glazier, you will be responsible for installing and repairing glass in various structures such as buildings, homes, and vehicles. Your duties will include measuring and cutting glass to specific sizes, removing old or damaged glass, applying weatherproofing materials, and using a variety of tools and techniques to ensure a high-quality installation. You may also be required to work on scaffolding or ladders at heights. This is a contract position based in Porto, Portugal with the possibility of extension.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Glazier
- Knowledge of different types of glass and their properties
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions
- Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements
- Safety-conscious mindset when working with glass
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends if needed

Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut glass according to specifications
- Remove old or broken glass from structures using appropriate tools
- Install new glass using appropriate techniques and materials for weatherproofing
- Ensure proper fit by making adjustments as needed
- Use sealants or caulking around edges of installed glass for added protection against weather elements
- Work on scaffolding or ladders at heights when necessary
- Follow safety protocols when handling and installing glass
- Communicate with clients regarding job requirements
- Keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Physically able to lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs)

Salary: 1800$ per month.
